Worst location by a mile. I travel a lot for work and love Panera. Its great to know what your going to get, their always clean, free wifi (when you can connect) etc etc. This location is AWFUL. I've been to it twice now. Never again. Horribly managed. The 2nd time I went in, they were so disorganized, I waited 20 minutes for my order before finally getting mad and just walking out. Hopefully someone else enjoyed the Sierra Turkey! It's so sad to see a store like this. People always ask why better establishments don't set up in certain locations. This is a prime example why. Go to 14 and 75 if you need a Panera fix. I WISH they would put one in Royal Oak. But I know for sure, I'll never go to this one again.

Walk in to order bagels and coffee for a client morning mingle. I tell the young lady Shawntel I'd like 3 bagel packs and she gasps and rolls her eyes. I ask her point plank did my order upset you and she says "it's a lot of work packing them up". She the asks what type of bagels would I like and I stated mix them up she says " I had to be more specific". If I had more time this morning I'd walk out that door and never look back. I'm so sorry my order inconvenienced you! #neveragain

Stopped in for a for a quick salad! Very friendly greeting from behind the counter. Shayla was quick to engage me in conversation asking what I was looking for and suggesting the new salads on the menu. My whole experience from ordering to pickup was met with enthusiasm and efficiency!

Good bagels. Good coffee. Free Wi-Fi for Saturday morning meetings. Can't really complain... ...though this location may consider replacing their faux-fancy paper lamp shades. Several looked like they had been chewed on and ripped up by a puppy.

Love the renovation they did awhile ago and the added parking in the back of the store!

Panera Bread.. perfection. :) The environment is so beautiful with the way they set up the restaurant. It is always very clean and kept up to date. It is so much nicer then any fast food place and just a couple bucks more to spend, and It is so worth it. One thing i especially love is how fresh the food always is. The breads, sourdough breadbowls, the fruits, ect. My personal favorite is to get French Onion soup in a sourdough bread bowl with more bread on the side. If you havent already, try dipping the extra bread in your soup- yummy. :) For sides- fresh apples or kettle chips are offered. No calories there, just a great decison. I'm also a very big fan of Jones Soda, so i love that they have a good selection to choose from. Choose Panera Bread over ANY fast food place.

This Panera is always swamped with peeps! It says something about the consistency of their great food! But sometimes they can be a bit slow on making the food. I usually get "pick two" combo; I love the vegetarian black bean soup and Caesar salad. They give you a baguette for the soup to dip into which is mighty tasty! And the Caesar salad dressing is very good.

What I like about Panera is that I can proudly suggest the place over a regular 'fast food' chain! Scenario: "I'm hungry. Let's grab some Burger King on our way out." Me: "Um. You got a extra two dollars to spend? Let's go to Panera instead." My new favorite is the Chunky Tomato soup. It tastes fresh, the broth brings out a wonderful flavor, and I love the fresh baked croutons that come separately wrapped to sprinkle on top. My other fav is the Frontega Chicken, on ciabatta Bread with sliced mozzarella cheese, tomato and some chopped basil. Instead of the chipotle mayo that comes with it I ask for the Balsamic Vinagrette instead. Its fragrant, yet has that herby sweet-and-sour taste I like in my sandwich. For sides, fresh apples or kettle chips are offered. No fries! You're forced to make a calorie saving but tasty decision. You won't regret it.

I've never had a bad experience at panera. The food is delicious. Excellent for lunch or brunch.

Great place in the morning for bagels and coffee rolls and also for lunch with their unique sandwiches and soups. Love the free WiFi and its central location in the Detroit metro area. Just a 1/4 mile north of I-696 on Southfield Road.

I was in a mood for a tuna sandwich for lunch, so I ran into this Panera place, the girl that took my order was half asleep, the guy making a sandwich was all over the place other than the blonde manager all staff members seemed to belong to a fast food service I paid 14 dollars for a sandwich that had barely any tuna on it and a bowl of soup, I'll never go to Panera ever again. Waste of money

Store was really dirty and they didn't have some of the items/condiments available; an (1) employee taking a four person booth and taking on the phone and no other booth was available. This was a one time shot - not coming to this one again.

I visited the store about 1:30 pm - apparently the lunch rush was going on. Kind of frustrating. There was no available parking. I had to wait. Cashier was not the friendliest. Sandwich was decent, albeit salty again. I hate the crunchy chips. I don't want an apple and I don't want a piece of bread to go with my sandwich. I just wish they knock off .50 cent and I just get the sandwich. $8 for Turkey Bravo - overpriced. Crowded. No free tables available. This is not a place to visit on your lunch hour unless you work next door. Looks like a comfy place to hang out and enjoy the free wifi.

*** My "goto" joint for coffee and an egg souffle anywhere. *** Interesting how the interior of this PB location is so much brighter than others. Its ceiling seems to be a lil elevated. with tracking lights. Total effect is spacious/contemporary. Service here is also great ... this franchise really works it. *** Result: maybe psychological, but coffee taste better. ***

I typically don't comment on places that are basically everywhere in the US, but I definitely feel like I should review this Panera. Over the past two weeks, I have been here at least four times. I come here during the weekend because it's peaceful and they have free WiFi, therefore I can get some work done while I'm sipping on unlimited coffee!! Of course, during the week it is a bit more congested but still enough room to bring my laptop. In fact, most of the patrons that come here also are doing work or having lunch meetings. Of course the food is basic Panera food (which is great), but I definitely recommend this place to lounge around on a lovely, sunny day.

for all those out there, panera is NOT everywhere in the US (as cherice suggests). it's definitely not in san francisco, and i never saw it in new york or DC. that said, i'm jealous that the midwest has this chain. they have really great paninis! mind you, i never stepped foot in this restaurant so this review isn't so much a review of the restaurant as opposed to the food itself.... either way though, i'd love to have one of these in SF!

In general, Panera is a mystery to me. The breads are alright. Soups are alright. They have soup in three sizes. Cup, bowl and bread bowl. The bread bowl is that really gummy, Elmer's glue type of sourdough. I wanted like, a huge thing of soup. A lot of soup. I was sick. I hate to sound like Jerry Seinfeld, or worse, Chandler Bing, but what is the deal with bread bowls. I don't get it. Jerry was totally the worst character on Seinfeld. The irony of that is almost too much for me to handle at this Panera Breadstuffs. This irony sent me into a downward spiral where I realized the true grotesqueness of our human condition. Anyway, for my most recent visit: restaurant was dirty. It was pretty jam packed. A lot of those weirdos that for whatever reason think working / writing at a weird chain restaurant makes them more productive. This is not a cafe in Paris, none of the places I see you dopes in is. It is a chain restaurant. Any of your works are tainted by this. Lots of "Business Opportunity" pyramid scheme meetings happen here too, it looks like. Of these two groups, it is the pyramid schemers who are in the right I think. They at least have a self-awareness, and are righteous to know that they have chosen the right place for their endeavor, however foolish. Such is the atmosphere. But I digress. Food is why we were here. It is just ok, mostly. But the sandwiches, holy hell. They are such an afterthought. It's like someone at corporate was like "Damn, we should probably have some sandwiches here I guess" and everyone kind of scrambled to put them together, It's like a robot came up with these sandwiches. I am usually pretty easy to please with sandwiches, too. But no, not here. I would gladly lay down my life my life to defend our country from these robot sandwiches in the coming robot food wars. People who like these sandwiches cannot be trusted. The employees were friendly and the service was adequate. With so many good to great delis in the area, I cannot figure out why anyone would go here.

I had to make an emergency pit stop at this Panera off of Southfield. I had my laptop with me and needed to check out some info. And I especially needed a plug, because it's batter was out of juice. So, first priority was the plug and in most Panera's they are hard to find-you have to do a floor search and check the walls. This Panera was different in that they had a wonderful assortment of seating with plugs available. I ordered an ice tea from Jamez, who was sympathetic to my plug needs and pointed out a good one! I got my tea cup ( I was in too much of a hurry to get the tea) and grabbed the spot. While I was sitting there, a smiling server came by with a free, warm, chocolate chip cookie and a napkin, which was a treat. The place was buzzing and busy and no one broke a sweat! Great service-now if Panera would renovate ( the leather chairs are taking a beating), this place would be a five!

Nicest employees ever. I always get the broccoli soup bread bowl. It's super filling and always tastes good. Lots of sit in area and a good study place! I come here at least once a month.

The. Place. To Be. Panera Bread was so crowded for lunch service last Thursday I felt like I was at a nightclub, except this night club had those crunchy potato chips and dill pickles. The service was still fast and my delicious Bacon Turkey Bravo was, well, delicious. This Panera loses points because they had too many tables set up and the restaurant was hard to navigate. I felt like I needed a Sherpa to guide me to open chairs and trash cans. The only other beef I had with this Panera, and all Panera's really is there tiny water glasses. I'm sorry, if I am paying you to prepare my food I am not purchasing a bottle of water. This isn't me being cheap, I just always get water, everywhere. So when my only other option is quenching my thirst with a tiny 3-4 ounce cup that needs to be refilled by completing an obstacle course to get to the machine, I get a little upset. Also, parking was a bit tight at lunchtime. Maybe take a trolley.

Panera is my go-to restaurant for fresh and healthy meals. Whether it's one of their fresh salads, delicious soups (from tomato to broccoli cheddar) or hearty bagels (stop in during the month of October, support breast cancer awareness by purchasing their pink ribbon bagel) Panera truly has it all. My personal favorite is the U Pick Two combo. Pair your favorite half sized salad, soup, or sandwich together. Add one of their huge cookies for just .99! The creamy tomato soup with asiago croutons is to die for. The Greek salad is what dreams of made of and the lemonade is the perfect blend of sweet and sour. Panera now offers a Rewards card, so sign up and earn free smoothies or lattes just for visiting regularly! The staff here is young and very friendly.

I go to this Panera Bread location often to take advantage of the free wireless internet. (Can't every place get free WiFi already? Jeez.) I've tried several things here and I've never been disappointed. If you like the standard Panera food, you'll like it here. The only thing I found strange was that this seems to be a location where the people of Southfield do business. One time I saw this large meeting of about 20 people in the store listening to some guy talk and I swear he was trying to convince them to join his pyramid scheme. Then one other time a woman walked in with a laptop and hooked a fax machine up to it. I'm completely serious! Then I saw a guy on a laptop, talking on the phone through his bluetooth headset and watching a DVD on a portable DVD player. In some ways, it's a great to get out to a coffee shop and read or study. On the other hand, it's not always fun to feel like you're just in another office.
